2026 Membership renewals

Hi All,

The renewal of squash section and social club membership are now due for 2026. Payment can be paid at any time on the online booking sheet programme, second from bottom on the list under your name.

This year even with the small increase over 2024's subscription fee, a small loss was recorded. As there was substantial investment in the Ladies changing room, court lighting and water cooler, this was not totally unexpected. While it is hoped that future capital expenditure is not needed in the short term, the committee is aware that when the boiler and court floors need replacing substantial sums will be needed, further the social club have increased our rent, due mainly to increased energy costs, for 2026. With this in mind, the squash committee has, very reluctantly, decided that the 2026 yearly membership fee should be increased by £10 to £100pa.

Renewal fees for 2026 are: Squash and Social club membership £140 and for squash members who pay the social membership via another sports section £100. Junior membership remains at £15.

During 2026 I have another "0" birthday and have decided I will not stand to be the membership secretary in 2027. The squash committee already needs new recruits for 2026, the task is not onerous, 4/5 committee meetings per year, normally around 30/40 minutes, and your chance to help the committee make the right decisions for the squash section going forward. If you are willing to be involved, the AGM date will be annouced in January, but if you would like to attend the committee meeting on 19th January at 7.30pm at the social club as a guest, you will be welcomed.
